Research

Microsalt believes it is important to actively perform research in collaboration with scientific institutes.

For this reason, Microsalt has started to collaborate with the University Clinic Tübingen in October 2009.

UKT Tübingen:
In June 2009, The medical chief of the UKT heard about Microsalt and the inhalation solution she has developed. Having extensive experience with saline inhalation solutions, the medical chief initially showed sceptism about Microsalt's solution as he thought this would be another humid salt inhalator device or cabin brought to market. At the moment it became clear that Microsalt provides Dry Salt Aerosol, he understood that this technique could bring results to people suffering from various airway discomforts, that could be very different from the traditional medication-free inhalation solutions. Microsalt and UKT have developed a format for research that contains several stages and starts with a pilot study with a relative small group of people. Based on the initial findings, a next phase will be performed.

Microsalt and UKT expect to reveal the initial findings of the pilot study in the second half of 2010.
